CLAPOTIS

|
Clapotis is a nautical/kayak term for a condition at sea. The condition happens when the flow of waves come in contact with reflected waves. The resulting feeling is a lifting followed by falling.

As for the dolphin in the composition, I felt they just work great as symbols of hope and spiritual inspiration for the new Millennium. In the past centuries, dolphin have been used in art to symbolize a spiritual rebirth and to be Divine Messengers. They also add to the total abstraction of the composition and add to the movement of the figure. |
