The tiger sculptures where delivered by low-boy trucks between February and April 2000. Some of the tigers had to be positioned on an angle in order to be delivered from the east coast. The shipping directions needed to be well planned ahead, and in some cases the trucks needed to take long detours in order to avoid power lines and low bridges through the various towns and cities. The last tiger arrived the day before opening day. Workers stayed and continued the installation through the night and early morning. The average tiger weight is 5000lbs. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
